Yesterday Is History, Tomorrow Is A Mystery
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” – Bil Keane
Most folks live life regretting the past and/or worrying about the future. They completely forget about the ever-present now.
The Law of Attraction works in the ever-present now. If you focus on the past you attract more of the same. If you focus on the future you can never get to Be the change that you desire.
The Key is to live in the Now.
You must forgive the past, but understand that it has brought you to where you are. Live in the ever-present now to Be the change that you desire as taught by the LOA. The future, which is an extension of the ever-present now, will take care of itself according to your current state of Being in the ever-present now.
Affirmation: I now live and express my Beingness in the ever-present Now. I forgive my past, understanding that it has shaped who I am today, and allow the my future to unfold as an extension of Now.
The Soul Knows
“The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind” ? Caroline Myss
Have you ever felt the inspirational tug of your soul to be or accomplish something great only to later have the doubtfulness and limitation of your mind/thoughts creep in and sideline your efforts?
Learn to quell your mind and negative thoughts for the fulfilling and prosperous life that is pointed to by your Soul’s desires… As Rumi Says “Respond to every call that excites your spirit.”
Spiritual Growth
”It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” – Aristotle
Personal and/or spiritual growth can not occur without the ability to entertain a new thought before possibly accepting it. (You would be surprised by how many folks can not do this, maybe not .. lol)
Personal growth and development requires an inquisitive approach and receptivity to new ideas and concepts. Note the key words here: inquisitive approach -> to seek or desire and receptivity – > non-egoic openness. This is also true for spiritual growth an enlightenment.
Have you ever read a book, or seen a movie twice only to become surprised that you missed some idea that impressed/stuck with you in the second pass? … it is your level of receptivity…
There are times in our lives when we are naturally more inquisitive and receptive to new thoughts and ideas. However, it seems that as we get worn down by life’s experiences we begin to live from within our own mental cocoon/shell and spend all of our energy, both mental and spiritual, protecting it.
Are you aware of your own mental cocoon/shell?
Affirmation: I am now open and receptive to new ideas. I am able to look at and appreciate life and it’s experiences from a new angle of wonder and awe.
